One Search celebrated another record turnover for the financial year to August 2013 with a day at Epsom races yesterday. Not only did the team enjoy exemplary private hospitality from the very kind management at Epsom Downs Racecourse, several of the team came away considerably better off after a string of lucky punts.

One Search Head of Infrastructure & Energy Dan McCarthy last night joined the panel of speakers at The Womens Infrastructure Network event at the Westbury Hotel, Mayfair. The event, “Promoting Yourself: Enhancing Your Infrastructure Career” was devised by Deborah Zerkow (Head of Infrastructure Debt, Allianz Global Investors).
One Search founder Dan McCarthy this weekend completed a gruelling 30 hour walk from London to Brighton, crossing the finish line at Brighton Racecourse at teatime on Sunday. Dan was walking in memory of Pete McCarthy and in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, and raised just under £4,000 in donations.
People moves always inspire vast and fevered interest amongst the infrastructure community. Not merely because they indulge that voyeuristic element latent within us all that seeks to know what our colleagues and competitors are doing, where they’re doing it and how well it’s going, but also because in this climate of on-going economic uncertainty movements in recruitment are often, albeit at times speciously, viewed as indicators of market trajectory and company strength.
One Search was proud, alongside Investec, to sponsor last night’s Infrastructure Journal Awards. Hosted by Hugh Dennis at the Natural History Museum, the awards brought together industry leaders and celebrated significant achievements in financing global infrastructure in 2012.
