Initially a KPMG-trained accountant, Dan moved into recruitment in 2002 with Michael Page before leaving to become co-founder of a leading mainstream recruitment firm which subsequently went through an MBO valuing it at £20m.
Having run a number of searches in the Infrastructure space and with renewable energy starting to develop into a serious industry in the early noughties, Dan saw that the industry and the people within it were distinct from the general pack of financiers and investors on the street. There was a clear need for a recruitment partner which understood the nuances of this industry, and from this need in 2006 One Search Ltd was born.
Dan splits his time between our London and New York offices, and runs senior level mandates in the Americas and EMEA. He also conceived, developed and now runs our Young Women Into Finance program which is already active in London and launching in New York in 2019.
Outside of work, Dan is a proud and very involved father to his three children, with a wife and two Newfoundland dogs (70kg Stormzy and his 5kg puppy nephew, Bear) making up the family unit. He continues to pursue a lifelong passion for the world’s greatest football club, Manchester United, which has taught him renewed humility in recent times.
